Courtney Warfield, LCSW

 HEAD OF MENTAL HEALTH SERVICES

As a native of Stockton, California, Courtney is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and has over 20 years of professional experience in Child Welfare and Mental Health. Courtney graduated from Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland (Morgan State University) with a Bachelors in Social Work. She has received her Masters in Social Work from Stanislaus State University. In her experience working as a Social Worker, she has worked in specialty areas consisting of Intake/Investigations, Juvenile Court, Drug Abuse and Sexual Abuse, Specialized Drug Exposed Infant House Bill 512, and Adoptions. Her cross cultural experience was gained through employment with Child Welfare Agencies in 3 different regions of the country: Baltimore, MD, Houston, TX, and Stockton, CA. Her experience as an Investigations Social Worker, Child Sexual Abuse Worker, and Juvenile Court Social Worker has allowed her the opportunity to partner with and build a network with local community service providers. Child Welfare has afforded her the opportunity to work with and serve a clientele of juvenile offenders, registered sex offenders, substance abusers, the homeless, mental health, and individuals on parole and probation.

She served as the Program Director for Aspiranet Behavioral Health in Stockton, Ca. An agency contracted through San Joaquin County Behavioral Health to provide Crisis Stabilization (clients who are at risk of suicide and homicide) and Therapeutic Behavioral Services for youth ages 0-21. Her program provided assessments for children who have experienced psychological trauma as well as other mental health disorders.

She is also a part time Professor at California State University of Stanislaus, teaching Effects of Childhood Trauma and Social Work Practice with Trauma Survivors

Dr. John Yarbrough

PSYCHIATRIST

Dr. John Yarbrough is board-certified in Adult and Child & Adolescent Psychiatry. He received his Bachelor of Science with Honors in Biochemistry at California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo, his Doctor of Medicine at The George Washington University in Washington, DC, and holds a Master’s Degree in both Business Administration and Divinity.  Dr. Yarbrough completed his residency at the West Virginia University School of Medicine and served as a Fellow/Chief Fellow in Child & Adolescent Psychiatry and Forensic Psychiatry. He lives with wife and three children.

Tameika Easter-Griffin is a licensed Christian professional who has worked in the Mental Health field since 1999, striving to help people to learn to cope with various life-stressors. She has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples with traumas of various sorts. Tameika also has experience working with various & diverse populations. She is skilled in adolescent therapy, crisis intervention, prevention, and couples’ work. Tameika is also an Educator at the collegiate level and podcaster, her mission is to provide professional counseling services from a Biblical Worldview, to the individual, the family, the church Body, and the community.

Tameika’s approach to therapy is a Person-Centered, Strength-Based and Solution-Focused approach to brief therapy. She employs techniques from Cognitive Behavior therapy, Narrative therapy, and elements from a Faith-based perspective providing an alternative to the community mental health system. As a Christian-Based therapist, Tameika recognizes that we may all be in different steps in our walk with Christ through this life.  As a Christian-Based Therapist she harnesses the ability to bring a biblical lens and perspective into sessions.

As a therapist, Tameika’s goal is to help clients to develop coping strategies and to develop strengths to address the life’s everyday issues, stressors and traumas.  This is addressed by building upon what has been helpful or worked in past situations.  Providing Psychoeducation and challenging and correcting thinking errors, introducing helpful skills/techniques.
