Facility Managers — Facility Managers report directly to the Facility Administrator. The Facility Manager shall be a minimum of 21 years of age, pass all background clearances, qualify for the LUYH approved drivers list, CPR/first aid certified and shall qualify for the position by meeting at least one for the following qualifications:

 

The STRTP Facility Manager will work a minimum of 40 hours per week.

• Have a Bachelor of Science or Arts degree.

• Two years of full-time experience, or equivalent, working with youth, or equivalent education or experience as determined by CDSS.

• Experience shall be verified as having been performed as a paid or volunteer staff person whose duties required direct supervision and care of youth.

• Two years of experience as a member of the social work staff in a group home or STRTP performing those duties.

 

  Facility Manager functions shall include, but not be limited to:

• Support the Facility Administrator in the day-to-day operations of the facility assigned.

• Apply the "Reasonable and Prudent Parenting Standard" to decisions involving the participation of a youth in age or developmentally appropriate activities in accordance with rules, laws, and policies and procedures when the Program Specialist is not present.

• Train, support, and in concert with the Facility Administrator, guide and direct the direct care staff to ensure appropriate care and supervision is delivered to all assigned youth in accordance with applicable laws, rules, regulations, and policies and procedures.

• Directly supervise youth as assigned.

• Oversee the daily schedule of activities.

• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures of LUYH by self and all direct care staff in the assigned facility.

• Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment.

• Report to the Facility Administrator and make recommendations for continuous quality improvements. All other duties as assigned by the Facility Administrator.

 

Facility Manager shall be at the facility at all time when one or more youths or present.  To ensure adequate supervision of youths when youths are at the facility outside of the Facility Administrator normal schedule, a current telephone number where the facility manager can be reached shall be provided to all staff, school, licensing and any other agency as the department determines necessary.

The facility manager reports directly to the Facility Administrator.
